Learn about me/Conoceme!
Hello there, my name is Alejandra Tash, and I am a big city girl, longing to live a small town life. I was born into a Dominican family and raised in NYC also known as the city that never sleeps (hence my desire to live the small town life). I’ve been a born-again Christian for ten years and have been married to the love of my life Mr. David Tash for six years. Why start a blog/website now? I felt a nudging in my heart to leave my NYC teaching job and my plans for my life and embark on the adventure of God’s plan for my life. I began to dream again! When I was just a kid I yearned to write, and so I would beg my mom for notebooks that I would fill up with my thoughts or ideas. I have always been a writer, but more than that I’ve always loved to help people and see their lives and relationships transformed and renewed. Here I want to share insight, biblical principals, and just life transforming thoughts that I have learned throughout my Christian walk. I want this to be a lifestyle blog where I share anything and everything that can help transform your life into a better one! Here is a little more (or a lot more) about me below…

A Little More
about me and about tashgal
I am in hard pursuit of John 10:10, where Jesus promises to give us life and give it to us more abundantly. I’m pretty tired of discussing where I come from, I prefer to speak on where I’m going. And so I came up with the concept “Living life Without Residue”. How? While attending concuseling one day I was explaining to my counselor behaviors and customs I had becuase of past expiriences. And her reply I hope would be a soulution to my distress, but to my dismay she said “it’s just residue from your past” brushing it off. I’m sure she didn’t mean harm, but I refused to allow my past to dictate my behavior, or my thinking. And so, I live in pursuit of dismantling the lies the enemy has tried to embed into my heart.
tashgal is a blog where I speak about a life in pursuit of living without residue. For years I lived victimized to my past, and thought “well I behave like this, because of what I went through.” That was my response to everything. Which I did expirience an abundance of grief, abusive relationships, and a distorted view of life. But the catalyst to this ‘living without residue” thing was a day where I sat in my counselors office and I was explaining to her once more that because of what I had gone through, I had certain behaviors left over from my past traumas. And so she said, “that is just residue from your past” and brushed it off. Though she meant well, I was angered by her response and my inner voice said “challenge accepted.” I accepted the challenge that I would live in pursuit of a life without residue. That we do have choice in our thinking and our behavior. Just because we grew up a certain way, doesn’t we have to live enslaved to our past. I won’t diminish the things we go through in life, but we do need to heal, process and move on in pursuit of the God given purpose we have on this earth. That is what my site is about, a place to show off His mercies in my life and how he took me from victim, to conqueror and is taking me from glory to glory. To living a life, without residue.
